Sector

Dates
September 2023–April 2024
Role
Product Designer
Scope
Product direction, design system, responsive website, Android and iOS flows

01 — Context

A healthcare product serving patients and physicians

Sniffle brought together patient-facing and physician-facing experiences across the web, Android, and iOS. ciedesigns joined an existing cross-functional team that included another UX designer, engineers, product management, and other employees.

02 — Challenge

Improve consistency while the product continued to evolve

The team needed to move through product iterations without recreating common decisions in every flow. Patient and physician experiences required consistent foundations, reusable components, clearer product direction, and a better path from design into code.

03 — Approach

Strengthen the system and the team’s working process

As Product Designer, ciedesigns helped deliver the design system, contributed to product direction, and moved the product through several design iterations. Accessibility checks during design covered system components plus patient and physician flows for the website and both mobile platforms. The work was collaborative rather than the output of a sole designer.

  • Expanded shared foundations and reusable components

  • Designed and refined patient and physician flows

  • Supported responsive website, Android, and iOS experiences

  • Used Stark during design reviews

  • Worked with the team to improve the design-to-code pipeline

04 — Outcome

Shipped work with a faster path from design to code

The product work shipped. Product management internally estimated a 20% reduction in design-to-code time and a 15% increase in user retention during the engagement. The work also supported a physician-recruitment initiative that successfully recruited physicians, although an exact count is not available. These figures are internal estimates, not independently audited results.
