CIE Designs LLC respects the privacy of people who visit ciedesigns.com or send an enquiry. This notice describes the limited information collected through the website, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information collected
The enquiry form may collect your name, work email, organization, sector, requested service, anticipated timing, optional budget range, and the project information you choose to provide. A deletion request may include the email address or earlier enquiry needed to locate the record. The site may also receive limited technical information needed for security, delivery, language selection, and basic server operation.
Sensitive information
Do not submit protected health information, patient information, medical records, financial-account or payment-card information, passwords, credentials, or other sensitive records through the website. CIE Designs LLC is not a HIPAA covered entity or business associate for website enquiries, and no business associate agreement applies to information submitted through this site. If a later engagement requires protected or confidential material, the parties will agree in writing on an appropriate relationship and transfer method before it is provided.
How information is used
Information is used to respond to enquiries, evaluate project fit, prepare and manage a potential engagement, respond to privacy requests, protect the form from abuse, maintain the website, and meet applicable business or legal obligations. It is not used for targeted advertising.
Form delivery and hosting
The website is hosted by Hostineer. Form submissions are processed by a server-side handler and delivered by email. Project enquiries are routed to [email protected], and privacy or deletion requests are routed to [email protected]. The site does not use a dedicated web-form database, but submissions may remain in email systems, security logs, archives, and backups and are handled under the retention policy below.
Cookies, local storage, embedded media, and server logs
The site may use technologies needed to operate and secure the experience. Cloudflare Turnstile processes limited browser and device signals to identify automated abuse. The language selector may store a language preference in your browser's local storage. Hostineer and the site's server software may create technical logs that include an IP address, request time, requested page, browser information, and security events. Pages may contain Vimeo's embedded player, which may collect information and use cookies or similar technologies under Vimeo's Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. CIE Designs LLC does not control Vimeo's independent data practices. Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies and local storage, although doing so can affect site features.
Language preferences
The site uses browser language preferences to choose an initial English or Spanish experience. A visitor can change the language manually, and the site may remember that selection locally.
Scheduling and project administration
The public site does not embed a scheduling service at launch. After an enquiry is qualified, ciedesigns may send a Cal.com booking link. If you become a client, Harvest may be used internally for timekeeping, cost aggregation, billing, and a client-facing view of project hours. Those services are governed by their own notices.
Retention
Enquiry records are ordinarily retained for up to six months, unless a longer period is required to establish or manage a client relationship, resolve a request, maintain necessary business records, or meet a legal obligation.
Sale or sharing and targeted advertising
CIE Designs LLC does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by applicable privacy law and does not use personal information for targeted advertising. You may nevertheless submit an opt-out request using the contact information below.
Your choices
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to and a portable copy of personal information associated with you, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, or confirmation of whether information is being processed. You may also opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising; CIE Designs LLC does not currently engage in those activities. Submit a request through the deletion/privacy option on the contact form or email [email protected]. CIE Designs LLC will respond within 45 days after receiving a request, unless applicable law permits an extension, in which case you will be notified. To protect personal information, CIE Designs LLC may verify your identity using information already on file and may request limited additional information when necessary. If a request is denied, you may ask for the decision to be reconsidered. You will not be discriminated against for exercising an applicable privacy right.
EU and UK lawful bases and international processing
Where the EU GDPR or UK GDPR applies, CIE Designs LLC processes enquiry information as necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, to pursue legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, operating and securing the website, preventing abuse, and administering the business, and to meet legal obligations. Information submitted through the site is processed in the United States. Service providers may also process information in the United States or other countries. Where applicable law requires a transfer safeguard, CIE Designs LLC will rely on a recognized mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. You may contact [email protected] to ask about the safeguard relevant to your information or to exercise an applicable right to access, correct, erase, restrict, object, or receive portable data.
Security
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for the limited information handled through the site. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children
The website is intended for business enquiries, is not directed to children under 13, and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If CIE Designs LLC learns that it has collected such information, it will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian may contact [email protected].
Changes
This notice may be updated as the website, service providers, or practices change. The effective date will identify the current version.
